FOOD & DRINKS
The world's most expensive beer
It’s still early days in 2009, but legendary Danish brewery, Jacobsen Brewhouse, has already set a new record for producing the most expensive beer in the world. The crown jewel has been named Vintage Nr. 1, and comes corked and wax-sealed in a slender, misty green bottle, just like a bottle of vintage champagne. Like most good things in this world, Jacobsen’s Vintage Nr. 1 is limited in edition and only 600 bottles of the brew have been produced.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Dieter Rams exhibition, Osaka
These days, it’s almost a reflex action to pronounce 'Less is more' every time the subject turns to product design. Quite exactly what the phrase means, however, is considerably less easy to explain. For that, it’s been, equally, a reflex action to turn to Dieter Rams for guidance.
For over half a century, the German designer has almost single-handedly directed the evolution of objective functionalism – the idea that good design should be innovative, functional and durable all while looking very good.
TRAVEL
Juvet Hotel Cabins
At the farmstead of Burtigard, Alstad, in Norddal municipality, a tourism enterprise has been established that is quite out-of-the-ordinary; a landscape hotel that offers a short-stay holiday concept based on geotourism. The landscape hotel is comprised of the farmhouse, the barn, and initially up to ten detached hotel rooms that have been sited separately in practically virgin scenery. Each «room» has its own unique view of this craggy Norwegian landscape: the farmstead, river, valley, mountains or the ravine. The rooms are of modern design that blend into the landscape, creating a harmonious marriage where Nature and modern design bring out the best in each other.

Roberto Bissolo - Sul Design
"Everything I do comes from my imagination, that's why the fingerprint on objects as my signature, to reafirm the idea that, through the sketch to the realization, I have no outside influence.
Initially, I worked only wood, but I didn't feel satisfied because I had to undergo many compromises"
